Anders thrives in his job as receptionist at European Helicopter Center AS due to the good environment, it is a small working environment so you work closely with others. This means that he gets to know colleagues and the students well, Anders says.

Expectations

Anders was aware that the recruitment process was still underway when he started as a pupil at the school, where they are carefully assessed for a whole year. Expectations were not sky high as there were a total of 25 applicants. Nevertheless, Anders had an expectation to get into the environment well and then become an instructor if he was hired, which he was.

Typical working day

Anders likes to start the day by checking in a computer program, where he sends a report to the finance department. Anders is also responsible for filling the 2,000 liter fuel tank, as well as arranging boarding for all the students. Also answers e-mails from the students with questions they wonder about, Anders mentions.
In May 2022, Anders became a helicopter instructor, which he thinks is incredibly cool. This means that he is out flying a helicopter, Anders also holds theory lessons for all the students. Otherwise, Anders acts as a support device for his colleagues when there are other work tasks that need to be solved.
